The UK boat register. New, and built in the open: it grows as owners and providers add to it.

Refunds and cancellation

Two different things, and it matters which one you mean.

What you bought

One report about one boat, for £29, paid once through Stripe. It is made the moment you pay. You get it on screen straight away and by email as a PDF. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

Changing your mind

Your report is made for you and sent the moment you pay. Because it is digital content delivered straight away, your normal right to cancel within fourteen days ends as soon as we start making it.

That is the plain English of regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. It is the same sentence you see under the pay button before you pay, word for word. So once the report has been made, a change of mind is not on its own a reason for a refund. Nothing on this page takes away any other right the law gives you.

The report could not be produced

If you paid and no report came back, tell us and we send the money back in full. That is not a judgement call.

A report that comes back and says the register holds nothing is a different thing. It was produced. The free check before the paywall tells you what is on the register and what is not, and the report names every gap in UK data and tells you where the record can be bought instead. A gap we named before you paid is the answer you paid for, not a fault.

The data was wrong

Here the law is on your side and we do not argue with it. If a report is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or not as described, you have the right to have it put right or to a reduction in the price under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We cannot write that away and we are not trying to.

Send us the order number and tell us which line is wrong. We read the record again, we go back to whoever put it there, and we answer you in writing. If the line was wrong we correct the register, we send you a new report free, and we refund you. If a section the report promised is missing with no reason printed in its place, that is our fault too and the same applies.

A report says what the register held on the day it was made, with a source and a date on every line. If a fact changed after that day, the report was right when it was made. Buy a fresh one and we will tell you what changed.

The payment did not go through

Nothing is charged until Stripe confirms the card. If the card was declined, no order exists and there is nothing to refund. A pending line on your statement that never became a charge drops off by itself. Your bank holds that one, not us.

How to ask

Email support@jagatitlimited.com from the address you paid with, with the order number in the subject if you have it, and tell us what happened. A person reads it. We look at the record and we answer in writing. A refund we agree goes back to the card that paid, through Stripe, and nowhere else.
